Shively Area Ministries

SAM

Shively Area Ministries (SAM) is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening the fabric of the Shively community. It provides emergency, short-term and, in some cases, ongoing assistance to individuals and families in poverty and crisis in the 40216 ZIP code. SAM provides a vehicle where all people of goodwill in the Shively area can come together to form a common bond of compassion. It responds to the needs of persons in poverty and crisis by uniting churches, civic groups and businesses to improve the quality of life for Shively residents. Its services are made possible through financial and in-kind donations, the time and talent of faithful volunteers and generous community support.
