Foster Success: Supporting Foster Youth Through Educational Training Vouchers (Concurrent Session)
October 29, 2026 | 4:20 PM-5:20 PM | Pit Crew Room
Supporting foster youth in achieving their educational goals requires more than financial assistance—it requires awareness, access, and strong partnerships. This session will provide an overview Kentucky’s new partner, Foster Success, and the Educational Training Voucher (ETV) Program, designed to help eligible foster and former foster youth pursue postsecondary education and career training.
Attendees will learn about ETV eligibility, available financial support, the application and renewal process, and how financial aid professionals can help students navigate the program. The session will also highlight ways colleges can partner with Foster Success to better connect students with resources and ensure they are receiving the support available to them.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of the ETV program and practical strategies for helping foster youth access resources, overcome barriers, and succeed beyond the classroom.
