We will have an open discussion about the scenarios and whether your school would approve or deny the appeal based on statements and supporting documentation provided. We will also discuss ways that FAAs can assist students prior to reaching SAP warning or SAP termination to ensure they remain eligible for Title IV aid. After all, we want to “be there for them when the rain starts to pour.”

Federal TRIO Programs are outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRIO includes eight programs targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to postbaccalaureate programs. Panelists represent TRIO programs sponsored by Bluegrass Community & Technical College.

Thanks to FAFSA Simplification, ED has broken up circumstances in which a student can be presumed to be independent which is different from a PJ or Special Circumstance.
